Please read this policy to understand how your information is used, the choices available to you, and how to contact us about your privacy.
About Straits Immigration
Straits Immigration is operated by Straits Immigration Pte Ltd (“Straits”, “we”, “us” or “our”). This policy describes how we handle personal data when you visit this website, submit an enquiry, communicate with us, or request our application-assistance services.
Our handling of personal data is subject to Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“PDPA”). This notice should be read alongside any consent request or service agreement relevant to your engagement.
Information we collect
The enquiry form on this website asks for your name, email address, WhatsApp number and country code, job title, and current pass type. It also records your selected application journey, contact consent, submission time, website origin, and a submission reference.
If you proceed with a consultation or service, the information needed may also include your nationality, employer, residency history, appointment preferences, correspondence, service-agreement details, payment references, and relevant applicant, family or sponsor records. Application assistance may require identification, travel, family, education and employment documents.
Information may reach us through this website, Meta lead forms, WhatsApp, consultations, document-upload forms and other channels you choose to use. Hosting and communication services may also generate technical connection, browser, device and security records.
Provide another person’s information only where you have the appropriate authority or consent. Please do not include identity numbers or documents in the initial enquiry form. Never send us Singpass passwords, banking passwords or one-time authentication codes.
How we use your information
We use relevant information to respond to your enquiry, explain our services, arrange and follow up on consultations, provide checklists and document guidance, track case information, and carry out application assistance you have requested and authorised.
Other purposes may include administering service agreements and payments, arranging a financial review where this forms part of an agreed service offer, handling questions or complaints, protecting our services, meeting legal requirements, and establishing or defending legal claims.
Where consent is required, we request it. A materially different use of your information requires further notice and consent where applicable. Submitting an enquiry does not itself authorise an application submission or the sharing of application documents with a financial adviser.
WhatsApp and automated assistance
The lead form requests permission to contact you about your enquiry, including through WhatsApp. This website sends submitted enquiry details to our n8n automation workflow to support follow-up.
Our communication and automation tools, including the virtual coordinator Kim, may assist with enquiry responses, appointments, reminders and document collection. Relevant messages, contact details, appointment information and case records may be processed for those purposes. Automated responses can contain mistakes; you can request clarification or assistance from a member of staff.
Where required, we seek permission for promotional messages separately. You may reply STOP to WhatsApp messages or contact us to withdraw permission for promotional contact. We may still need to discuss a service you have requested, subject to your instructions and applicable law. This policy is a notice, not a substitute for any separate consent that is required.
Financial reviews and adviser referrals
Where you select a package that includes a financial review, the attendance requirement and other conditions are explained before you commit. The review is conducted by an insurance or financial adviser. Insurance products may be discussed, but purchasing insurance is not required under our stated service offer.
Straits receives payment for adviser appointments, which supports our free individual submission-assistance service. Before making a referral, we identify the intended adviser or firm and obtain the necessary permission. Information shared may include contact details, appointment arrangements and relevant needs you have agreed may be disclosed.
Application documents are not automatically part of a referral. Additional sharing needs a relevant purpose and appropriate authority or consent. The adviser or firm is responsible for its own handling of information under its privacy notice.
Security and retention
We are responsible for reasonable safeguards appropriate to the data handled, including appropriate access, account and storage controls. No internet transmission or storage system is completely risk-free. Please contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access or disclosure.
Personal data should be retained only while needed for the purposes of collection or applicable legal and business requirements. When retention is no longer necessary, it is to be deleted, anonymised or otherwise no longer retained. We assess suspected data breaches and make notifications where required by law.
Your requests and choices
You may ask to access personal data we hold about you and information about its use or disclosure, request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information, withdraw consent for particular activities, or raise a concern about how your information is handled. Applicable legal limits and exceptions may apply.
We may need to verify your identity. We will explain any applicable fee or exception, and the likely effect of withdrawing consent. Withdrawal may affect our ability to provide a requested service. Please use the privacy contact below for these requests; do not submit a new sales enquiry for a privacy complaint.
Website technologies and external links
This version of the website does not embed Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or advertising tracking scripts. Its page code does not set advertising cookies or store lead-form answers in browser local storage. Information entered into the form is submitted when you send the enquiry.
Hosting, security and communication providers may generate technical records or use necessary technologies to operate their services. Google Fonts receives connection information when fonts are requested. Google review links and other external links take you to services governed by their own privacy notices.
If optional analytics or advertising tools are added, this notice and any required consent controls should be updated before those tools are enabled.
